This Mommy of 2 had been very unhappy with her post-baby body. After carrying 2 babies full term, the patient said that she had excess skin around her abdomen and sides.

The patient dieted for a couple of months and after losing 30 lbs she decided to proceed to the mommy makeover.

The patient meet with Dr. Pousti the night before surgery for detailed markings. The patient decided to proceed with the Extended Tummy Tuck Surgery because of the extra skin on her sides. She described how that was her problem area and she didn’t like the “muffin top” look.

In the O.R. before surgery

The patient is post op extended tummy tuck surgery, breast lift (mastopexy) with 533cc silicone gel breast implants. She is ONLY 11 days post-op surgery and is loving her results.

This 36-year old patient from San Diego California wanted her pre-baby body back. After pregnancy and breast feeding her children she was very unhappy with her ”pooch” and ”saggy” breasts and decided to look into a “Mommy Make-over”. In order to improve the abdominal wall, which has been stretched from pregnancy, and to gain some fullness and perkiness for her breasts, she knew she would benefit from a breast augmentation with silicone gel breast implants, breast lifting (mastopexy) as well as tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) surgeries.

The patient is asked to come in the night before the surgery to meet with Dr. Pousti for markings. This allows him to answer all the patients questions and explain the procedure in detail.

After all of the markings are performed, Dr. Pousti makes sure that the patient has a full understanding of what is planned for surgery to make sure the patient is comfortable.

In the inter-operative area, Dr. Pousti performs the breast augmentation / breast lifting surgery with silicone gel breast implants to achieve the goals of the patient. The tummy tuck and liposculpture of the abdomen is performed.

Temporary sizers are used to determine what size implants are needed to achieve the look that the patient wants. He refers to the pictures that the patient brought in when determining the size.

Internal sutures are used and will dissolve over time. As the sutures dissolve, the ”puckered” look of the incisions will smoothen out and heal into a very fine line, which will fade with time.

To improve the symmetry of her breasts, Dr. Pousti used 500cc moderate plus profile silicone-gel breast implants on the left side and 550cc on the right breast.
