This 37-year old mommy from Temecula, California (Riverside County) was very unhappy with her post-baby body after pregnancy and breastfeeding 3 children. She inquired about a “Mommy Makeover” because she wanted to improve her figure. It was difficult to achieve the look she wanted through diet and exercise alone and decided to find a board certified plastic surgeon to help her fulfill her goals.

After extensive research on the internet, the patient found Double Board Certfied Plastic Surgeon Dr. Tom Pousti and was very impressed with his experience in helping mommy’s from all over the world. She decided to meet with him for a consultaion in his Murriet office.

During her consultation, the patient felt very comfortable with Dr. Pousti and his staff. She felt that he fully understood her wants and needs and decided to proceed with surgery.

The night before surgery, markings are performed and the procedure is explained in detail to the patient.

In order to achieve her mommy makeover a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) was performed to repair her rectus muscles and the loose, excess skin was removed. To provide the best results possible, Dr. Pousti also included liposuction of the flanks and abdomen area to improve her contours. Drains are required to avoid fluid accumulation and are worn for atleast 2 weeks to prevent seroma. A pain pump is also povided to assist in recovery and healing.

The patient is instructed to pick out pictures of what she would like to look like. Dr. Pousti places theses photos on the wall to refer to during the surgery.

The patient wanted a full and natural look. To achieve cleavage and perkiness, a breast lift (mastopexy) with breast implants was performed for fullness and cleavage. Temporary sizers were used to see what size breast implant would be used.

339cc silicone-gel breast implants were placed submuscularly to achieve the natural look.
