Breast Augmentation / Breast Lifting after Nursing Children

This 41-year-old nurse from Temecula, California was unhappy with the breasts she was left with after 4 pregnancies and was interested in breast enhancement surgery to increase the size and fullness of her breasts.

A mastopexy , also known as a breast lift, was performed on both breasts in order to improve symmetry and appearance. Measurements and markings are made prior to surgery. As seen in the pictures below Dr. Pousti shows the patient where the vertical incision will be and how he will raise the nipple areola complex to a more pleasant location on the breast.

Once the lift is performed on the breast a sizer is set into place. A sizer is similar to a saline implant but is filled with air instead, these are used to determine what size implant should be used in order to achieve the patient’s goals. After the sizer is in, the patient is placed in an upright position and her breast is compared to the pictures she brought in to make sure that they are similar.

A 450cc Silicone breast implant was used in the patient’s left breast and a 500cc Silicone breast implant was used in the right to obtain better symmetry.
