This 32-year old patient from Carlsbad, California was interested in a “Mommy Makeover”. After pregnancy and nursing 3 children, the patient thought she would benefit from tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), and breast augmentation with a lift (mastopexy) surgery. She had lost a significant amount of the post-baby weight and was unhappy with the loose, saggy skin in her abdomen area. She wanted to achieve fullness and perkiness in her breasts and researched on the internet for a board certified plastic surgeon in the San Diego area.

The patient found Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Tom Pousti and was very impressed with his work based off of the before and after photos of mommy’s on his website. She called to set up a consultation with the Dr. right away.

After examining the patient, during her consult, Dr. Pousti explained to the patient that she would benefit significantly from an extended tummy tuck. An extended tummy tuck involves a standard tummy tuck with a back lipectomy to improve the flank area as well. A breast lift with augmentation could be performed at the same time as the tummy tuck.

The night before surgery, markings are performed.

(Intra-Operative) Immediately after surgery.

In order to achieve the best results possible for the patient, Dr. Pousti placed492cc silicone gel implants under the muscle. A limited lift was performed to lift the breasts using an incision around the areola, also known as a Benelli Lift.

The patient is now 5-days post-op surgery. Results are dramatic. The drains are removed 2 weeks post-op to prevent any fluid accumulation in the tissues.
